Banshee Sealine Drag

Doha Qatar: (Friday 23 April 2004) The first organized competitive Quad Drags in Qatar was held today beside the Sealine Resort near Um Said and will continue tomorrow.

The event was organized by Khaled Al Remithi of Banshee Bikes in Doha. In total 37 Quads were entered. Entries came from as far as Oman, The UAE, Saudi Arabia and of course Qatar.

Today was spent dialing the Quads in and getting them ready for the finals that will be held on Saturday.

Times ranged from a fast 4.75 to a very sluggish 9.2 for the 100m. Reaction times were a bit slow at the start of the day, but over the day some of the riders got down to as low as 0.450. The only breakdown of the day I saw, was Nasser AL Misnad who tore a sprocket at the light.
